Healing Design Integration

Corporate Graphic Design

Due to recent trends in healthcare, the move to creating a patient centered medical home model that focuses on prevention and wellness to deliver treatment for chronic care within outpatient environments has created a need for design solutions that support relationship-based care. This study focused on how technology and furnishings can impact communication, participation, and satisfaction within the exam room to enhance the patient/ provider relationship.

PROJECT CONTEXT

I was hired through a graphic design contract for Healing Design Integration for two separate presentations and branding materials for five months. I worked directly with Deborah Wringler, the CEO and founder of HDI to produce informative graphics regarding a year long study conducted with Adelante Healthcare Arizona. I assisted with synthesizing statistical data into thematic elements and visual depictions that were a result of the redesign of three medical sites. Research findings and graphics were presented at the 2015 Healthcare Design Conference.

PURSUIT OF PLATINUM

I created a 30 slide hour long presentation for both Adelante Healthcare and HDI intended for an audience of statisticians and interior designers. I sought to make their presentation easy to view in the large auditorium without widescreen capabilities at the healthcare design conference. I met with Deborah and her team of statisticians, physicians, and support staff several times to ensure their message, data, and research themes were displayed effectively. My task was to take raw statistical data and reconfigure it into traditional graphs as well as expand on thematic concepts pictorially. Below are some highlights of the presentation.

Maximizing the Value of Research

This presentation was used as promotional material for HDI and as a more detailed comparison of the research sites and their results. Raw data and rough sketches provided in meetings with the HDI team over several weeks were used as inspiration. My goal was to maintain the integrity of the data while also being able to depict thematic elements and insights in a straightforward and cohesive fashion.
